Amie and Hugh’s beautiful day was held at the stunning Shustoke Barn. Such a beautiful setting for such a beautiful couple and their fur baby Murphy…
Tell us about how you met and what your first impressions were of each other?: We first met at the Globe in Warwick on the night of the Mop. From the moment we started talking, we clicked and it all felt right and very easy.
Who proposed and how?: Hugh proposed on the 16th October (the day after my Birthday) as I had always made it a big thing that I did not want to be proposed to on my birthday. We were in London for a few days and he booked a private pod on the London Eye in the afternoon. I was busy admiring the view when I turned round and Hugh was on one knee.
Describe each other in three words…:
Hugh is……. caring, thoughtful and handsome.
Amie is…….. loving, beautiful and witty.
What made you fall in love with your venue?: We’d been looking for a few weeks and had arranged some viewings during our week off. As soon as we pulled up to Shustoke Barn we knew it was special, with the beautiful building and amazing countryside surroundings. The team showing us around couldn’t have done enough for us, they answered all our questions and put us both at ease. They went through the whole day from start to finish and even invited us along to one of their amazing feast nights.
What was your favourite part of the day?: We both loved the wedding breakfast. Not only was the food to die for but it was a great chance for Hugh and I to sit back and watch the guests enjoy themselves (and the food). We were able to sit and actually take in the day whilst being surrounded by our close family and friends.
What is the one moment you’ll never forget?: Amie- Being stood ready to walk down the aisle with my dad and then finally seeing Hugh. As soon as I saw him all my nerves just went away.
Hugh- Walking into the Wedding Breakfast as Mr and Mrs Bissett for the first time!
Why did you choose Warwickshire wedding photographers, Amara Grace Photography?: Having been recommend to us by a friend, we were impressed by how natural and non-intrusive their photography was. After we met Karen and Hollie who were both lovely, we both felt that they really understood what we wanted and weren’t going to make us stand a look into each other’s eyes for hours on end!!
Tell us more about your suppliers, is there anyone you want to mention ?:
Sarah Page- Wedding Day Dog Care- As our little man is a huge part of our family we really wanted him to be part of our big day. Sarah was amazing with Murphy, flexible and helped to ensure he behaved himself in all the photos. We couldn’t thank her enough.
Wedding Dress/Bridesmaid dresses- The White Boutique in Leamington Spa, the ladies there really went above and beyond for my bridal party, fitting us in for numerous fittings and alterations!
