Daisy- May and Ben’s romantic and beautifully styled day at the wonderful Blackwell Grange from July 2019. Their wonderful slideshow is featured below. let’s also learn little more about them
Tell us about how you met and what your first impressions were of each other?: I was just 17 and I was working “as a waitress in a cocktail bar” my mum was landlady to a bar in town so I would work the occasional glass collecting shift, Ben walked in one night and we immediately started talking, I knew when I saw him that was it, loved everything about him, especially his dance moves! Ha. My mum said to me “stay away from him, he looks like trouble” and he was, very Cheeky and funny too. But we knew we were going to spend the rest of our lives together. 12 years later, here we are happily married with our beautiful daughter Lacey
Who proposed and how?: Ben proposed almost 5 years ago now on our family holiday in Lanzarote. We decided we would head to the beach that day with Lacey, when we got there and got our sun beds, it was the usual scenario, Lacey building castles, Ben swimming and me sunbathing. I lightly heard Lacey say “mummy your going to be a McBurnie” I opened my eyes and Ben was there on the sand on one knee, we were right at the front so all the people on the beach behind us were applauding and cheering, I actually paused for a moment because of the shock, I didn’t suspect it or see it coming. That’s when I said YES! the ring was absolutely beautiful glistening in the sun, he chose it perfectly I couldn’t have picked a more perfect ring myself. Then the three of us went and jumped in the sea, was an incredible day ❤️
Describe each other in three words…:
Daisy: I would describe Ben as Loving, clever and funny.
Ben: I would describe Daisy as kind, genuine and beautiful.
What made you fall in love with your venue?: For our venue we wanted somewhere spacious, bright and contemporary with beautiful details, we didn’t want to have to change our venue with too much decor to make it perfect. Blackwell for us to took our breath away when we walked in and was the perfect balance of modern and romantic. We were able to add flowers and only personal touches to make it perfect for us.
What was your favourite part of the day?: Our favourite part of the day was our ceremony, having the most dearest family and friends in one room finally watching us get married and say our vows was everything we’ve dreamed off. We felt so much love for each other and everything about that moment was so special and perfect.
What is the one moment you’ll never forget?: Walking down the aisle was definitely a big moment for me I was so nervous but so excited at the same time, walking towards Ben was just so special. Also Lacey’s reading in the ceremony followed by the speech she made up on her own for the wedding breakfast. Made us so proud as parents.
Why did you choose Warwickshire wedding photographers, Amara Grace Photography?: We felt like you were able to capture natural happiness and the beauty of what a wedding is. Your attention to detail is beautiful, and we felt after meeting you there was no other two photographers we would rather have with us on our special day. You made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole process and you both made it so easy too. We can’t thank Amara Grace enough
Tell us more about your suppliers, is there anyone you want to mention ?: Firstly our florist, Stephanie Saunders. Her flowers are truly beautiful and her attention to detail, she was able to give us everything we wished for.
Secondly our venue stylists at Styletopia, Ruth and Kim were so attentive and caring, they were able to take what we envisioned on our day and make it come true, we still can’t believe how beautiful everything was.
Robert Benson was our incredible saxophone player, he is such a talented human being and we were so grateful he could play at our special day. So professional also and such a nice guy.
Steve brown films, for capturing our wedding on film, we were so happy to meet such a truly nice guy and he was so professional on the day, perfect to film our special moments.
