Wedding photography and storybook by Amara Grace, Warwickshire Wedding Photographers, located at the beautiful Hyde House in the Cotswolds. A storybook of laughter and fun that filled Lisa and Darren’s Stunning Cotswold May Wedding.

Tell us about how you met and what your first impressions were of each other?:

We knew of each other from both working at the Huntsman Carvery as teenagers. It wasn’t until 2009 that we spoke properly after seeing each other in Walkabout in Rugby town.

Who proposed and how?:

Darren proposed to me on Christmas Day 2016. We had opened all our presents when Darren sent his daughter,Lily off to get a present that he had ‘forgotten’ to bring down.
I was busy tidying all the wrapping paper away and turned around to find Lily grinning from ear to ear and Darren holding a box with the most perfect ring in!

Describe each other in three words…:

Darren is thoughtful, cheeky and hilarious.

Lisa is ‘Beautiful inside & out’   (I don’t think Darren gets what we are doing here haha)

What made you fall in love with your venue?:

I had been looking for weeks online at various venues around the midlands and attended several open days but nothing jumped out at me. Some weeks later my sister sent me a link to the Hyde House Instagram page, it was then that I knew we had to go view  the venue. As soon as we pulled in and saw the big manor house and beautiful countryside view behind it that I knew this was the place for us. Annie at Hyde was very welcoming and I loved everything I saw as we walked around the two buildings. The Grange where we married wasn’t actually built at this point so we were shown illustrations and plans and it was just what I had been looking for!

What was your favourite part of the day?:

I (Lisa) loved being able to get ready drinking prosecco in a big dressing room with all my favourite ladies.

We both had the best time when we were able to let our hair down on the dancefloor with all our fabulous friends and family.

What is the one moment you’ll never forget?:

Reaching the bottom of the aisle on my dad’s arm and finally being able to see Darren having not spoken all day. I just wanted to give him a big hug as he looked so nervous!!!

Why did you choose Warwickshire wedding photographers, Amara Grace Photography?:

Having attended weddings where Amara Grace were photographers before we knew they produce the most beautiful photos. When we met Karen and Hollie they were so lovely and I felt that they understood our relaxed vibe and they weren’t going to make us pose for hours on end! Having two people is of course always a bonus!

Tell us more about your suppliers, is there anyone you want to mention ?:
