OUR STYLE

The creative images we strive to create will mirror your memories. Coverage mainly comprises of candid, natural moments so allow you to relax and let your day unfold while we capture the magic. We start about two hours prior to your ceremony and stay up to the first hour of dancing! Let your day unfold while we capture the magic.

 

While our emphasis is on spontaneous moments capturing the excitement, love and emotion we also offer two short portrait sessions within your day, so time away from your guests is brief and a section for formal photographs too so we make sure the most important guests at your wedding are captured.

 

We love to chit chat, so if you have any questions, please give us a shout or visit us! It’s really important to us you both feel comfortable so we offer weekday or evening appointments, chat about all the things that make you, you – the important stuff and silly things too 🙂

We had Hollie and Karen as our wedding photographers in February and honestly we could not have asked for more wonderful photographers! We were both quite nervous about being in front of the camera so opted for the engagement/pre-wedding photo shoot and it was worth every penny. Not only did it give us a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera but we got some of my absolute favourite photos of us from it. Hollie and Karen are so friendly they made us feel instantly at ease and by the end of the couple of hours we were completely comfortable and were over all of our awkwardness ahead of the wedding day! On the day Hollie and Karen made everything feel calm and relaxing, even during the rush of getting ready in the morning! It was great having two photographers as it meant we got pictures of everything as they could be in two places at once! They really listened to what we wanted from our photos and how important candid photos were for us. I can’t express how happy we are with our photos, we adore them and couldn’t have hoped for anything better. Thank you so much Hollie and Karen for giving us the lasting memories of our wedding day!

Choosing Amara Grace to be our wedding photographer was probably one of the best decisions we made. Karen and Hollie were AMAZING! They were professional and put myself and husband at ease from the very start. They listened and really took on board what we wanted.

My husband was reluctant to have photographers at our wedding. He doesn’t like pictures of himself unless he has the complete control and safety of a selfie. He always feels that off guard photos leave him looking rather simple and unflattering.

I on the other hand wanted a record of the day to cherish in the future. I managed to convince him that hiring photographers would be worthwhile and I chose Amara Grace.

I’m so glad I did, as is my husband. Hollie and Karen put us both at ease from the morning with their infectious and warm personalities. Hardly noticeable as they snapped away whilst we got ready.

On arrival at the wedding venue Hollie and Karen formed an amazing double act and we relaxed even more into having the photographs taken. By the time the wedding formalities were over Hollie and Karen felt like old friends enjoying the day with us.

The resulting photos created by Amara Grace were amazing and showed all the joy and happiness we experienced on the day. They captured every laugh, every tear, every smile and every shot whilst simultaneously going unnoticed. From the photos, they were always there. But from our perspective, they were in the shadows doing their thing. Like magic.

We barely noticed they were there! – and yet it seems they were everywhere, catching every small detail! They went above and beyond, even steaming the bridesmaids dresses and deadheading the potted plants! YOUR QUESTIONS

We always welcome couples getting in touch but here is a few more answers

to some of your possible questions

Help, we feel NERVOUS infront of the camera!

Don’t panic! We do our best to put you at ease, most of our shots are natural and unposed and quite often our clients soon forget the camera is there! We normally suggest two short portrait sessions on the day only about 20 minutes each so you don’t spend hours posing with us! You can always opt for a pre-wedding shoot too – it’s a fun and relaxed session and is a perfect warm up to the big day.

What is a FULL DAY? How many HOURS?

We usually start with getting ready shots about two hours before you leave for the ceremony right through to moves being thrown on the dance floor! It’s usually about half hour post first dance. We don’t do set hours, we work with your timescale – that means the images tell the whole story of your day.

We LOVE you! How do we book and pay?

Yay! To secure your date, we require a £200 non-refundable deposit, as well as a signed contract.

All done electronically, easy! The remainder of your balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding. Simple!

Do you take FORMAL photos?

Yes, definitely, we know they form an important part of your day. We allow around 5 minutes per group. Before the wedding, during your details meeting we discuss your group shot list. On the day one of us will help gather guests while the other shoots, this helps the process run smoother without taking up a lot of time. It means you can get back to chatting with your guests, while we capture everyone enjoying themselves.
